A Warner anunciou o aguardado lançamento de King Kong (1933) em Blu-ray para o dia 28 de setembro nos Estados Unidos. Virá em versão DigiBook, como já é costume nos lançamentos de grandes clássicos da Warner. Ainda não há informações sobre áudio e legendas, mas fica a esperança de que assim como ocorreu com outros títulos clássicos da produtora, esse também venha com opções em português. O filme virá na versão integral de 1933.

Os extras incluem:

A Universal anunciou o lançamento da sexta temporada de The Office em DVD e Blu-ray para o dia 7 de setembro nos Estados Unidos. O lançamento no Brasil também deve ser anunciado em breve, mas certamente não em Blu-ray. A edição americana trará apenas o áudio original em inglês e legendas em inglês e espanhol.

A segunda temporada em Blu-ray de Highlander: A Série está em pré-venda no site Legendary Heroes com previsão de lançamento para o dia 25 de julho nos EUA. Infelizmente, sem áudio ou legendas em português. Mas se o inglês não for problema pra você, nesse site você encontrará boxes completos e outros itens colecionáveis das séries Highlander, Xena e Hércules. Clique aqui para conferir. (Eu namoro esse box completo de Xena faz tempo!)

A primeira temporada da série Parenthood, uma das melhores novas séries dessa temporada nos Estados Unidos, foi anunciada em DVD para o dia 31 de agosto por lá, infelizmente sem áudio ou legendas em português. Esperemos que ela chegue por aqui!

Os extras por lá serão:

• Deleted & Extended Scenes featuring never-seen-before footage.
• Get To Know Your Parents Featurette: Go behind the scenes of “Parenthood” and explore the characters with help from the cast as they explain what attracted them to the series and how they approach their roles.

O Animatoons publicou uma imagem de um folder promocional inglês que apresenta uma capa do Blu-ray de Fantasia, a ser lançado no fim desse ano. Como o próprio site destaca, nada garante que essa seja a capa definitiva. Mas particularmente, gostaria muito que eles usassem a arte clássica ao invés dos novos (e não fidedignos) desenhos de capa dos re-lançamentos em Blu-ray.

A Warner lançará no dia 22 de junho nos Estados Unidos a Tom and Jerry: Deluxe Anniversary Collection, em DVD. O box de 2 discos trará 30 episódios da dupla, abrangendo todas as décadas de produção da animação, incluindo 7 animações vencedoras do Oscar e mais de 3 horas de extras. Ainda não há informações sobre áudio e legendas.

A nova série da HBO, The Pacific, será lançada em DVD e Blu-ray no dia 02 de novembro nos EUA. Informações sobre áudio e legendas ainda não foram divulgadas, mas torcemos para que assim como Band of Brothers, traga legendas em português. Alguns dos extras foram divulgados:

• “Historical Backgrounds” – the five-minute prologues that set the stage for each episode and additional historical footage narrated by Tom Hanks.
• “Making The Pacific” – go behind the scenes and take an inside look at the making of this epic, 10-part miniseries.

O Reino Unido irá ganhar um edição em SteelBook de Psicose em Blu-ray. E ela virá com legendas em Português de Portugal. Para os que são fãs da embalagem (e do filme), fica a dica. Os extras e aspectos técnicos são os mesmos da edição americana, que eu já havia listado nas Notícias da Semana nº19.
