Veja no tour abaixo o processo de produção do Blu-ray e as máquinas necessárias para sua replicação. Provavelmente são essas mesmo que a Videolar terá que comprar para replicar os discos do raio azul aqui no Brasil (já que o precesso de produção de um BD é diferente de um DVD).

O material bruto: pedaços de policarbonato
Corredor de acesso ao ambiente de produção: partículas de poeira são removidas dos que ingressam lá naquela porta dos fundos.
Os pedacinhos de policarbonato chegam na injetora.
Módulo de injeção do material e que cria a primeira camada de dados.
Cobrimento do disco com prata vaporizada através de campo magnético.
Disco recebendo segunda camada de resina antes da segunda camada de dados.
A fábrica produz 16 mil discos de Blu-ray por dia em sua capacidade máxima.
Última camada de resina antes da verificação de micro bolhas.
Verificação da integridade dos dados de cada disco.
Discos sendo levados para a impressão da arte na sua superfície.
Nestes envelopes estão as cópias-mestre das artes dos discos.
Impressão dos discos com 4 cores: ciano, magenta, amarelo e preto (CMYK).
Depois da impressão finalizada e seca, os discos são levados para seus estojos.
Máquina que vira o disco e o insere nos estojos. Tem capacidade de encapar 4.500 discos por hora!
